Ginseng has been used for centuries in China as a tonic for general health. It is long touted as a medicinal plant with "adaptogen" properties. Being an adaptogen, it affects the body of the person taking Ginseng depending on the individual's needs.

There are now various high quality coffee or tea mixtures with Ginseng
as one of the main ingredients. Although, supplements may be preferable
for those needing a greater boost in their physical or mental energy
as these supplements usually have higher dosages of Ginseng
compared to powdered drink mixtures.
